Description
Nasal Packing is a sterile, single-use ENT sponge made of PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) material, capable
of absorbing fluid several times its own weight. It is available in multiple types to accommodate a
wide range of nasal and otologic procedures.
Indications
Nasal Packing is indicated for hemostasis and tamponade within the nasal cavities or ear canals. It
is designed for use following septoplasty, turbinectomy, rhinoplasty, sinus surgery, and otologic
operations including canalplasty or myringoplasty, as well as for nosebleed treatment and nasal
cavity filling procedures. It may be placed unilaterally or bilaterally depending on clinical
assessment.
